I have recently worked with CEAL (Community Education Academy of Leadership) in conjunction with their Community Health and Wellness Project (CHAW) running a series of textile workshops in the community. The aim of the project was to work with local people and their communities, on 8 dimensions of Health and Wellness including; Social, Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, Environmental, Occupational and Financial. The project participants benefited from;

  • Improved health/well-being status
  • Increased awareness of wellness trends
  • Increased community ownership of wellness activities
  • Gradual reduction in local health inequities
