Cultural events across Sandwell in build-up to and during the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. The events ran between April to September and aimed to ‘Shine a Light’ on Sandwell’s rich diverse culture and showcase the best of the arts, sports and culture from all ages, backgrounds, and parts of the community.
The Shine a Light Festival was full programme of events and activities. The events and activities took place over six weekends – one in each of Sandwell’s six towns – ending with a two weeks Shine a Light Festival at Sandwell Valley from the 25th July to 8th August 2022.
